Shari & Mappee of Kidsafemusic proudly display their new Sing
Along CD, “BuckleUp Bunny” Sing Along Car Safety Songs, which teaches
children seat belt safety! Of all the ways to learn something new,
music is one of the more appealing for youngsters! The children learn
the words and move to the beat vicariously and soon are singing along
with these fun original songs. The CD will be released to the public
Oct 24th, but is already a hit with police and fire officials who use
the amusing song “Buckle Up” as an aid for their safety presentations.

Both residents and parents in Lake Hopatcong, Shari & Mappee have
self produced the CD because of a strong belief in it’s message and
public need for seat belt knowledge. The duo formed “Kidsafemusic”
and agreed on one firm rule: the lyrics would be 100% parent approved
so no issues with lyric content would ever be a problem. They then
retained a world known children’s artist, Doug Keith, to create a
lovable character that could carry the message “Safety” to the youth.
“BuckleUp Bunny” was born!

“It was a big effort to put this together from the original idea
to the actual CD” says Shari. First we had to write ten new songs, then
we had to arrange, record and mix them which was accomplished with the
help of Modern Relic Studio. After the songs were complete we then
started on a cover design. Doug Keith, of Seattle, agreed to create our
safety character. “Doug is just wonderful and unbelievably creative”,
says Mappee. We then decided to press a few copies and we’re frankly
overwhelmed by positive responses. Police and Fire officials were
asking us for copies for safety presentations. A balloon company is
creating a 15’ high replica of BuckleUp Bunny and corporate sponsorship
is being discussed. The balloon can be displayed at public events and
will remind kid’s to buckle up. “It’s so important that families
practice basic car safety and that children are made aware at an early
age”, Mappee states. The CD aids parents and is fun and entertaining
for the children. Parents can sing along as well, so the whole family
enjoys the music together.

Also on the CD is a special bonus story. “BuckleUp Bunny” How You Get
A Name, written and narrated by Mappee. This children’s story is part
of a six book set and will be available in illustrated book form in
2006. through Kidsafemusic.com.

Shari & Mappee and Kidsafemusic have created a much needed fun,
