Custom card decks – I guess I love my job

Sometimes I ask myself why do I blog. I guess the reason that I blog is two fold – first – I want to educate my clients and potential clients about custom card decks  in general and secondly I want to show off a little bit about some of the really interesting and exciting jobs we have done for a wide variety of clients in different industries.  Although it isn’t every single day that a job comes along that really gets me really excited –  there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t absolutely enjoy my job.

They say that if you get paid for what you love you’ll never work a day your life. It sounds corny, but I have to admit it seems very true in my case.  For example, today I got a call from a lady who wants to do a promotional item for a program that her client is distributing.  They want something clever, and so they’re going to do a playing card deck as a desk item.  I suggested some acrylic, wooden, and custom two-part boxes for her client to review.  I also sent out some samples out to a client’s client for use as a branding item.  They were interested in  custom playing cards in both window and custom tuck  boxes.  I created and laid out the artwork for a spiritual deck today, a political deck, and an educational Spanish/English deck all in one day.  One of my all time favorite decks is shown below.   It shows a company’s main product line on the 54 personalized playing card faces.  Another one I really love are the card decks we did for Lollapalooza – I just love the design on the card backs.  I just have to start going a little light on the personal samples or I may eventually run out of room in the office.
