Attack The Darkness – RPG Game

I like to say it in a scary voice – but it probably just sounds stupid to other people – Picture a scary voice saying it “ATTACK THE DARK (long pause) NESS!

I know its silly – but the name was always the first thing I heard in our emails – and then when the art came in from designer Alex Seagraves I was simply blown away!!  And it took a long time for the plant to make this one – THERE ARE A TON OF COOL CARDS AND PIECES!!!  and the booklet is stellar.  I mean – yes – we did a very nice print job – but really the art is so very excellent on this game!  People raved about it when we brought a sample of it to the Boston FIG to show off – and here are some links that show what a great custom RPG tabletop game this is.

Attack the Darkness combines the mechanics of a table-top role-playing game, a deck-building game, and a card-drafting game all rolled into one. Your character is your deck; your cards are everything that character is, and everything they can do.

Designed to be simple in its components yet complex in its combinations, Attack the Darkness has the speed and excitement of a collectible trading card game while also featuring the tactics and intricacies of a table-top RPG. Designed for 1-8 players, it features 7 unique classes and supports play either with or without a game master who  – if used in the game – is in charge of the monsters.

But we also wanted a game that would challenge even the most ardent power gamer by leveraging thousands of powerful and risky combos”.
